Education is the fundamental right and need of every individual as well as society. It is a key component to breaking the cycle of poverty and promoting economic growth and development. At United Welfare Trust we feel the necessity of sustainable development in rural and slum areas through educational welfare for children. So, We are working to raise awareness among the unprivileged people about the importance of education and also trying to provide them with access to quality education, improve literacy rates, and equip children with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their lives. Our main aim is to create a learning environment that fosters curiosity, and creativity and pushes them a step forward toward achieving their goals in life. We believe that they can build their fortune themselves by overcoming the struggles of life through education.
Stationery Material Distribution
United Welfare Trust has commenced with the dedication to developing the society of rural and slum areas of Khardah, West Bengal. Our main focus is to advance and expand our activities regarding educational welfare for the children of marginalized and unprivileged sections. One of our initiatives includes the distribution of stationery materials to improve access to learning resources. We aim to equip children with tools like pens, pencil notebooks, erasers, and others which would help reduce barriers to education and improve literacy rates among rural children. We believe that this initiative will empower individuals, promote critical thinking, and enhance their ability to contribute positively to their communities.
Health Welfare
Most people living in rural and slum areas lack access to quality healthcare due to their weaker financial status. Our organization United Welfare Trust is dedicated to promoting health welfare in these communities. So, we provide free transportation to government hospitals and cover the cost of medicines for those who cannot afford them. Our actual aim is to ensure that everyone has access to the healthcare they need and promote health education and awareness among them. We also encourage every individual to adopt healthy lifestyles, maintain hygiene and prevent diseases. We are striving to make more initiatives to avail all healthcare facilities to them for the betterment of their society in the future.
Cloth Distribution
Clothing is a basic human need to live a quality life. Many people in rural and slum areas struggle for adequate clothing due to poverty and a lack of resources. Regarding this, we have taken the responsibility to distribute clothes among the children of these communities. We organize cloth distribution camps 3 times a year. During these camps, we distribute new clothes to children on the 1st of Baisakh (Bengali month) and during Durga puja, while on the 25th of December, we distribute warm clothes to help them combat the harsh winter weather. Through this initiative, we aim to improve their quality of life, promote their dignity, and foster social inclusion in the community.
Fund Collection Through Handbill
As we are focused on bringing upliftment and development among the unprivileged people and children in rural and slum areas, we are making all possible efforts to drive all the programs regularly that have been initiated for their welfare. To continue our programs and initiatives we need enough funding and for this, we distribute handbills and collect funds from common people. These handbills contain information about our organization United Welfare Trust and the work that we do, as well as an appeal for donations of a little amount. The collected funds are being utilized in arranging all staff for their development. Through this particular work, we raise awareness among the general public about the challenges faced by these communities and urge them to support our cause and also make the rural area a step forward toward living a decent and dignified life.
