Every New Year celebration takes place in our organization premises. On this day United Welfare Trust arranges a small program for children and local people to spread joy and happiness among them. We also organize special events and celebrations to bring smiles to the faces of children and families living in rural and slum areas. We distribute gifts, clothes, and food, and also organize cultural programs and games to create a festive atmosphere. We feel so pleased to see the little faces smiling and celebrating this special day welcoming the new year with new hope, and new resolutions to make it joyous and cheerful.
Netaji Jayanti
United Welfare Trust celebrates the birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the most popular patriotic and freedom struggle in our country. We celebrate this day by remembering the sacrifices of this great leader and paying tribute to him cordially. On this day we arrange some cultural events and teach the children to follow this great man’s path and philosophy.
Republic Day
United Welfare Trust celebrates Republic Day every 26th of January with great enthusiasm. This day remains remarkable for all Indians as the constitution has come into action on this day. We celebrate this day by hoisting Teranga and organizing small programs to spread the message of brotherhood, the sovereignty of our country, and communal harmony. Local children and people join our programs and make them memorable for us.
Basanta Utsab
Every year on the occasion of Dol Purnima, the United Welfare Trust holds a grand celebration called Basanta Utsab to welcome the season of spring. It is the festival of colors, harmony, and happiness. Our celebration involves many preparations such as buying colors, sweets, and decorations, as well as planning social gatherings and events. On this occasion, local children, volunteers, and members gather on our organization’s premises and play with colored powders and water by applying them to each other’s faces. Our main motive for organizing this program is to create an atmosphere full of joy, love, and unity.
Bengali New Year
We celebrate the Bengali New Year on Poila Baisakh with great joy and enthusiasm. We celebrate this day with the communities we serve by arranging a cloth distribution camp for them to provide new clothes to them. On this auspicious occasion, we also organize cultural programs, music and dance performances, and traditional food festivals. We feel so pleased to celebrate this day with the children and families living in rural and slum areas, creating a festive atmosphere that brings together people and promotes the rich cultural heritage of Bengal.
Rakhi Bandhan
Rakhi Bandhan is a festival that celebrates the bond between siblings. It is traditionally celebrated by sisters tying a Rakhi (sacred thread) on their brother’s wrists, signifying their love and protection for each other. We celebrate Rakhi Bandhan every year by organizing events that promote not only sibling love and bonding but also celebrate the relationships among our team. We distribute Rakhis, sweets, and gifts to orphaned and underprivileged children, making them feel loved and cared for. Through this event, we also create awareness about the importance of sibling relationships and foster a sense of community spirit.
World Environment Day
We observe World Environment Day on the 5th of June every year on our organization’s premises. We at United Welfare Trust are concerned about the present scenario of our nature and environment. So on this day, we arrange some events on environment conservation, tree plantation, water preservation, etc, and spread the message of saving our nature from the danger and disasters caused by pollution, global warming, increasing sea levels, reducing the numbers of trees, and so on. All we want is for people to keep themselves aware and contribute to our environment so that the earth can remain liveable for humans, animals, and other living beings.
Independence Day
It is our moral duty to celebrate Independence Day every year to commemorate the leadership of the greatest freedom fighters and our legendary ancestors who have sacrificed their lives to achieve independence after about 200 years. On the 15th of August, United Welfare Trust celebrates Independence Day by organizing a small program by hoisting Teranga and our educators and students taking part in some enjoyable and purposeful activities like singing, dancing, recitation, and others.
Children’s Day
On 14th November we celebrate Children’s Day on the premises of United Welfare Trust. We celebrate this day with the young ones by paying tribute to Jawahar Lal Nehru, fondly called Chacha Nehru, distributing chocolates, cakes, and sweets, and arranging a small function including singing, dancing, reciting, etc. we feel so delighted to see them smile and enjoy our little endeavor.
World Health Day
We believe that Health is the most precious wealth of human life. On our organization premises, we observe World Health Day on the 7th of April annually. We celebrate that day with some awareness programs regarding health issues. Basically, In these programs, people are made aware of the fact how they can self-check their health and that they should be updated about the condition of their different organs like heart, kidney, liver, pancreas, etc. Our only motive is to make people know about the importance of leading a life with good health free from any kind of sickness.
Teacher’s Day
United Welfare Trust celebrates Teacher’s Day on the 5th of September of each year. We celebrate this day with the local children of our organization appreciating the contribution made by the teachers. Our team stays busy with them on this day doing something enjoyable like cutting cakes and distributing chocolates and sweets among themselves.
